Originally developed at the explicit request of the United States Marine Corps, the VLTOR A5 Buffer System is widely regarded as one of the most effective mechanical upgrades available for the AR platform. Designed to increase reliability, mitigate felt recoil, and enhance overall system durability, this A5H2 buffer provides the exact weighting required to smooth out gas impulses and tune hard-use duty carbines and suppressed gas guns.

Precision-machined from high-strength 7075-T6 aluminum and protected by a durable Type III Clear Hardcoat Anodized finish, the A5H2 buffer weighs in at a precise 5.33 ounces. It houses an internal configuration of two steel weights and two tungsten weights utilizing a cascading deadblow design that prevents bolt bounce during rapid or full-automatic cycling. Note: The VLTOR A5 buffer is specifically designed to function within the lengthened VLTOR A5 receiver extension tube system and is not compatible with standard carbine buffer tubes.
