Description
This is the spring and buffer used in the Vltor A5 Recoil System. Kit comes complete with Rifle Length Spring, Standard A5 Buffer (weighs 5.3 oz), Receiver End Lock Plate and Nut. Match your spring and buffer kit with the Vltor A5 Receiver Extension Tube.
Note: The A5 Spring and Buffer kit is designed to work only in the Vltor A5 Recoil System and must be used with an A5 or AR10 Short Rail receiver extension - attempting to use these parts in a regular carbine receiver extension will result in damage.

Well Worth It!
The VLTOR A5 Buffer System is an awesome addition to any build. You will immediately notice the difference in felt recoil vs your standard carbine buffer system. Of note, the A5 receiver extension is just slightly longer (roughly 7 7/8") than a standard carbine buffer tube (7 1/4"), so - depending on which stock you use - you likely will notice it does not collapse quite as close to the receiver as a standard mil-spec tube. Really insignificant, just something small you may notice. Overall, this system just works... highly recommend trying it out, especially on a shorter barrel firearm. You won't be disappointed!
