Special Order & Pre-Order Policy

At Bauer Precision, we are happy to assist customers with products that are not currently in stock through special orders and pre-orders. Because these items are ordered specifically at the customer’s request, additional terms and conditions apply.

Special Orders

A Special Order is any product that Bauer Precision does not normally have in stock and must obtain specifically at the customer’s request.

  • Special orders may require a non-refundable deposit or special-order fee at the time the order is placed.
  • Once a special order has been submitted to the manufacturer, distributor, or supplier, the order may not be canceled or refunded.
  • If the customer cancels the order after it has been submitted, the deposit and/or special-order fee may be forfeited.
  • If the product has already been received by Bauer Precision, the purchase is considered final and is not eligible for a refund or return, except where otherwise required by law or approved by Bauer Precision management.
  • Special-order pricing is based on the price available when the order is placed. Manufacturer, distributor, shipping, or other price increases that occur before fulfillment may be passed on to the customer.
  • Special orders may be subject to manufacturer or distributor lead times. Bauer Precision cannot guarantee an exact delivery date unless one has been specifically confirmed in writing.

Pre-Orders

A Pre-Order is an order placed for a product that has been announced or allocated by a manufacturer but is not yet available for immediate shipment or pickup.

  • Pre-orders may require a deposit or pre-order fee, which may be non-refundable.
  • By placing a pre-order, the customer acknowledges that the product may be subject to manufacturer delays, production changes, allocation limitations, or other circumstances outside Bauer Precision’s control.
  • Estimated release and delivery dates are provided by the manufacturer and are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
  • Pre-orders generally cannot be canceled once the order has been submitted to the manufacturer or distributor.
  • If Bauer Precision is unable to fulfill a pre-order due to the manufacturer discontinuing the product, canceling production, or otherwise being unable to supply the product, Bauer Precision will work with the customer on an appropriate resolution.

Special-Order & Pre-Order Fees

Due to the additional costs associated with obtaining products specifically for an individual customer, Bauer Precision may charge a special-order or pre-order fee.

The applicable fee will be disclosed to the customer before the order is finalized. Unless otherwise stated in writing, this fee is non-refundable.

Firearms, NFA Items & Regulated Products

Special orders and pre-orders involving firearms, NFA items, suppressors, or other regulated products may be subject to additional restrictions and requirements.

Once an order has been submitted and/or paperwork or transfer processes have begun, additional cancellation, transfer, restocking, or administrative fees may apply.

Any refund, cancellation, transfer, or return involving a regulated product is subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as Bauer Precision’s internal policies.

Customer Responsibility

By placing a special order or pre-order, the customer acknowledges that they have reviewed and agreed to this policy and understand that special orders and pre-orders are commitments to purchase and are not the same as purchasing an in-stock item that may be returned under Bauer Precision’s standard return policy.

Customers are encouraged to ask any questions regarding pricing, availability, estimated delivery times, deposits, fees, and cancellation terms before placing their order.

Bauer Precision reserves the right to determine whether an order qualifies as a special order or pre-order and to establish any applicable fees or deposit requirements on a case-by-case basis.
