At the center of the AX556 is Radian's patented A-DAC (Ambidextrous Dual Action Catch) system, allowing shooters to lock the bolt back right-handed by simply depressing the right-side magazine release while pulling the charging handle rearward. The AX556 comes complete with factory-installed proprietary hardware, including the acclaimed Radian Talon 45/90 Ambidextrous Safety Selector (with long/short levers), a left-side magazine release, a right-side bolt release, and an Enhanced Takedown Pin Set. Additionally, Radian’s spring-loaded Self-Adjusting Receiver Tensioner (SART) plunger eliminates upper-to-lower receiver play for a rock-solid fit.
