Optimize recoil mitigation and tame high-pressure blowback in overgassed or suppressed AR-15 platforms with the Primary Weapons Systems (PWS) MOD 2 Enhanced Steel Body H4 Carbine Buffer. Weighing in at a heavy 6.8 ounces, the H4 is the heaviest carbine buffer in the PWS lineup, engineered specifically for short-barreled rifles (SBRs), suppressed setups, and hard-hitting calibers requiring maximum reciprocating mass. By delaying bolt unlocking and slowing bolt carrier speed, this heavy buffer reduces felt recoil, eliminates bolt bounce, and minimizes gas face during rapid strings of fire.
Machined from durable 4140 steel, the MOD 2 buffer features a proprietary fluted body profile with minimal contact points that allows carbon, dirt, and excess oil to clear easily within the receiver extension. The entire steel body is treated with PWS's advanced FNC LIFE HD process—a ferritic nitrocarburizing treatment that chemically bonds lubrication into the surface for low friction, enhanced wear resistance, and silky-smooth action cycling under adverse operational conditions.
