The foundation of the Mod3’s legendary durability is its semi-monolithic architecture. Machined from Hodge's proprietary ultra-high-strength C405 aluminum alloy, the Mod3 upper receiver interfaces with an 11.5-inch 6061 aluminum handguard joined via an interlocking 7075-T6 aluminum top rail. This continuous structural bridge practically eliminates handguard deflection, ensuring night-vision lasers, illuminators (such as ATPIAL, MAWL, or NGAL units), and front-mounted iron sights maintain rigid zero retention even when the rifle is loaded heavily on barricades or bipods.
