Liked 43 cept for hump grip and limited capacity mag. Bought 48 from Bauer to put the 43 slide on 48 frame to give me 10+1 capacity and longer more comfy grip. Kept thinking it was out of ammo due to 43 conditioning. Have to shoot it more. Ran everything through it I had without a hiccup. So now I have a "43X" if I want very carry-able or a 48 by just replacing slide. 43 mags don't work in 48 frame. Also 43 had reliability issues running a can but 43 slide on 48 frame does not.

Standalone this is a thinner profile firearm with all the dependability you expect from Glock. Test like the typical Glock. Perhaps an unanticipated bonus if you have a GL43 is you can trade out tops and bottoms to get a 43X by buying a 48 and putting your 43 slide on the 48 frame. Instant 43X. Take the 48 upper and put it on your 43 frame to get a long slide 43. Would expect if you have a GL43 threaded barrel you can put the 43 slide with threaded barrel on 48 frame and shoot suppressed but haven't tried it yet.
