At the core is a 16-inch chrome-lined alloy steel barrel, button-broached for consistent accuracy and long service life. Chambered in 5.56 NATO / .223 Remington with a 1:7 twist rate, it is optimized for a wide range of ammunition types, from training loads to duty-grade defensive rounds. The included A2-style compensator helps manage recoil and muzzle rise for faster, more controlled follow-up shots.

The FN 15 Patrol Carbine features a direct impingement operating system tuned for reliability under sustained use. Paired with a collapsible 6-position stock, it allows shooters to quickly adjust length of pull for comfort, body armor compatibility, or changing shooting positions.
