At the center of this platform is a 10.3-inch cold hammer forged chrome-moly vanadium barrel with a Government profile and a 1:7" twist rate, paired with a pinned low-profile 4140 hardened steel gas block and a carbine-length gas system. Encasing the barrel is the military-proven MK18 RIS II quad-rail handguard, featuring Daniel Defense's Bolt-Up System for rigid accessory mounting. Outfitted with an ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle, an M16-profile chrome-lined bolt carrier group, an H buffer assembly, three heat-resistant Santoprene rail ladders, and signature soft-touch Daniel Defense polymer furniture, the MK18 SBR is ready for duty, home defense, or tactical training straight out of the box.
