At Area 419, the goal in creating the perfect scope mount was to produce something reliable and consistent to a degree not found anywhere else on the market. This pursuit led the team down a rabbit hole, ultimately resulting in a process that delivers final-bore matched rings with raw aluminum internals. These provide a grip on optics that is more reliable and precise than anything else available, while offering exceptional robustness without unnecessary weight.

Like most mounts, these start as separate parts. At Area 419, bases and caps are made in batches. While many manufacturers produce these parts, send them for anodizing, and then simply assemble them, Area 419 incorporates extra steps into the process. Once the parts return from anodizing, they are fully assembled, placed into specially produced rail fixtures, with the caps torqued to specification over specially made spacers (allowing the rings to properly grip the optic), and final-bored as sets in world-class machining centers. Mounts are then removed from the machine as sets, rigorously quality-checked, and carefully packaged to ensure customers receive a perfectly finished mount.

Is it overkill? Probably. But at Area 419, it is considered the right way to do things—and that is exactly what is done.
