The Geissele Freedom Rifle™ (GFR®) 18” Maritime Reconnaissance Rifle is a cutting-edge evolution of the AR15 platform, built from the ground up with precision-engineered components for superior accuracy and durability. Chambered in 6MM ARC, it features a chrome-lined, cold hammer-forged barrel that undergoes High-Pressure Testing (HPT) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) to ensure reliability. The Anti-Strike Super Compact Gas Block, developed for USG, improves rail clearance and durability.

At its core, the GFR includes the Nanoweapon®-coated Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group (REBCG), providing increased corrosion resistance, stability, and optimized feeding performance. The one-piece aluminum receiver offers superior rigidity, with heat-treated steel cam races for prolonged lifespan. The GFR-E trigger, an improved SSA-E® variant, delivers smooth operation and a crisp break.

Additional enhancements include an ambidextrous Geissele Super Charging Handle, HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD muzzle device for suppressor compatibility, and the MK16 Super Modular Rail ensuring secure handguard alignment. The lower receiver is precision-machined from forged 7075-T6 aluminum, with features such as a Maritime Bolt Catch, checkered takedown pins, and Super 42® Buffer system for optimal shooting performance. Completing the rifle is the Geissele SBS stock, featuring QD sling swivel sockets and an ergonomic cheek weld for comfort.
