The Colt M5® Carbine (CM556-16-M5S) represents the next evolution of Colt’s M16 and M4 rifle family, incorporating advanced ergonomics, modularity, and durability. Built with Colt’s proprietary free-floating barrel system, the 16.1” barrel variant enhances accuracy and longevity, making it ideal for tactical applications, duty use, and precision shooting. The M-LOK® compatible upper receiver and handguard assembly offer improved barrel retention and rigidity, while the continuous MIL-STD-1913 top rail provides ample space for mounting optics and accessories.

Featuring a forged lower receiver with ambidextrous controls, the M5® allows left-handed and right-handed shooters to operate the selector, magazine catch, and bolt release efficiently. The Colt Low-Profile Gas Block, pinned in place, optimizes gas management for reliable cycling. Equipped with a Magpul® CTR buttstock, TROY® folding BattleSights™, and a self-centering barrel nut, this rifle delivers premium performance with minimal retraining for those already familiar with the Colt M4 Carbine platform.
